A New Chapter

A New Chapter

As I mentioned in my last blog post, Tranquil Botanicals has grown in how I am focusing my work. What began as a space for beautiful and rare houseplants and handmade products has slowly clarified into the following: a commitment to botanical study, stewardship, and seasonal practice.

With this clarity comes a need for a visual identity that better reflects who we are becoming. Today I'm sharing our updated logo and color palette, as well as the reasoning behind the change.

Why Change?

As Tranquil Botanicals evolves into a botanical study series - offering immersive plant studies, garden-grown seeds, and thoughtfully crafted goods - I wanted the visual identity to feel less like a shop and more like an archive.

My planned work is rooted in observation. In pressing. In harvesting. In studying plants deeply over time. The new emblem reflects that shift.

The Emblem

The updated logo is circular - a seal. At the center is an echinacea flower in bloom. I chose echinacea intentionally.

Echinacea is native to my region and has a long history of medicinal use. It bridges beauty and utility - ornamental in the garden, but deeply rooted in apothecary tradition. It represents both study and stewardship, which sits at the heart of this work.

The Colors

Alongside the logo, I have shifted to a more muted color palette.

Deep ink tones. Warm ivory. Moss and faded botanical hues.

These colors reflect the materials that inspire this studio: dried herbs, aged paper, pressed

flowers, field notes, and quiet study.

It's not bright or trendy, but it's also not fleeting.

The goal was to create a timeless visual identity. One that allows the plants to remain the focus while elevating our mission.

What This Means Going Forward

This update signals a deeper commitment to what Tranquil Botanicals is becoming. I will not simply offer plant-inspired products. I am building a botanical study series - a growing archive of hands-on, seasonal explorations rooted in native and medicinal plants, among others. Each study, each seed, each offering is a part of a larger body of work centered on learning, experimentation, and relationship with the land.

The new logo reflects that intention.

Thank you for growing with me. This next chapter feels more grounded and more focused. I'm excited to share what's coming next.
