2025 In Review

Where have I been all year? Good question! If you've followed my Instagram, you might have an idea. In December 2024, my husband and I bought our first house! From that, stemmed a very busy and full year. Here's a quick list of what kept us busy:

  • Leak found on Christmas Eve
  • Evidence of mice discovered
  • Hole where anything could have crawled into our drywall thanks to a dog door installed incorrectly in side of house that needed to be covered up
  • Adding two new kittens to our household (Sully and Finn)
  • Flaky walls plastered over and painted in basement
  • Popcorn ceiling in basement scraped, plastered, and painted
  • Painted almost every wall in the house
  • Carpet replaced on main floor, which fixed the constant dirty dog smell that was haunting us
  • Painting the trim and doors
  • Wedding reception
  • Figuring out what's wrong with the leaking fridge that we inherited
  • Installing a raised garden bed and gardening all summer (!!)
  • Figuring out why the A/C went out on the hottest day of summer and getting it temporarily fixed
  • Fixing up the garden beds in the front yard by removing a million rocks and replacing with pansies, mums, and mulch
  • Discovering and slowly saving a family of 4 kittens and the mother

With all of that and the expenses that came along with it all, I let Tranquil Botanicals slip off of my to-do list, and let my license to sell plants expire.

I do still have all of my handmade candles, soaps, lotion bars, etc. up for sale, along with the eco-friendly pots.

But I am excited to share that I am now offering a few new products!

2026 Downloadable Garden Planner, which includes a watering log, seed sowing chart, vegetable growing chart, plant profile pages, and a calendar so you can plan it all out.

First Annual Tranquil Botanicals Seed Swap! This is something I've been excited to do for a long time. When I was a young teenager, really getting into gardening and seed starting, I participated in a seed swap. It is how I got a lot of the seeds I still have today. It was so exciting to look forward to, and I was excited to also share the seeds that I had collected, either from garden magazines or my own garden. I'm excited to hopefully bring that same excitement to young and old gardeners alike. Join my email newsletter to stay in the loop (at the bottom of this page)!

These exciting upcoming offerings come at a time of transition for Tranquil Botanicals. I have been pivoting in my interest, time, and research from rare houseplants to nourishing vegetables, healing herbs, and regenerative gardening.

Please follow along as I share the labors of my gardening, and the transformative landscaping we have planned for our new backyard space!
